Honey is as sweet as her name implies. She's a beautiful, golden brindle girl with matching amber eyes, waiting for her people to find her. She has an interesting back story and is very pleased to have a new indoor life with her foster family. She's a medium-low energy girl and loves a good nap, or 10, every day. She is happy to explore with you, wrestle with her dog foster sister or chew a bone for a bit, but mostly just wants to hang out near you. She is working hard on the basics right now so she can be the best girl for her future family. Honey is very food motivated, which is a huge bonus for training, but she's learning that not ALL food is for Honey. And not all surfaces either. 🤣 But she is learning quickly and settling in.

Honey will do well with any family that is willing to work with her through the basics and she will return the favor tenfold with love. She is currently fostered in a home with 3 children, ages 3-9, another medium sized dog and a cat and she does well with all of them. She is sweet and gentle, her only fault that she will 100% steal their snack if given the opportunity. She's still learning that she will get fed again soon and she won't go hungry or need to scavenge for herself.

She walks nicely on leash when wearing her harness and has been friendly to other people/dogs met along the way. She is doing great with house and kennel training.

If you're looking for a sidekick who won't ask for much aside from love, treats and a sunshine spot to nap in, Honey might just be your girl. Her future family is going to be so happy with her!

Honey is available for adoption May 9, 2025 after she heals from her spay but we are accepting applications now. Applications can be found on our website here.
