Raya is one of the most loving, cuddle bugs ever. She is a pup that wants to be close to her chosen person at all times. She is very timid and shy and would do well in a home that is prepared to be patient and earn her trust. Quick and sudden movements create fear in her and she can bolt quite easily or will seek shelter under beds, vehicles, etc…She will require a back yard that is fully fenced with no access points for her to get out with supervised potty breaks. Raya is not a fan of the leash but in the two short weeks we have had her and with a lot of trust between her and I she will follow for short distances.
Raya will do well in a quiet home with or without another dog but certainly would benefit from an older dog that can guide her. She has adjusted very quickly to living indoors and is a fast learner as she quite often mimics her foster siblings. She has hit her teens and requires some guidance but responds well to gentle guidance and redirection. Raya displays no aggression at all towards food or treats by humans or other animals.
In short, Raya is full of love and energy all tied into one tiny little body! She bounces like a bunny when she’s happy and wags her tail in circles. She isn’t a barker but will squeak when she’s happy or first wakes up. This little girl deserves a home filled with love, patience and security!
